Responsibilities:
None.
Work Environment:
Duties are primarily performed within an office environment.
Routinely and intermittently exposed to a computer screen and uses repetitive motions in operating office equipment.
Must be able to hear clearly (correctable to within normal limits) to accurately record information and to see (vision correctable to 20/20) to complete applications and forms.
Adaptive technology may be used.
May be required to work in various temperatures and locations within the facility and outside, and to lift and move light to medium weights (up to 15 pounds).
Must be able to work under stressful situations.
Job
Summary:
Provides executive-level support to the Assistant Superintendent.
Performs work of a general office nature that assists with the smooth operation of the Curriculum Office.
Communicates with internal and external stakeholders.
Works with confidential data.

Education and/or
Experience:
Associate Degree in Office Management or related field and at least two years of experience in a professional office setting.
Degree requirements may be waived based on exceptional experience in a comparable setting.
Ability to operate all office equipment.
Proficient with various software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Note:
It is impractical to list every duty and responsibility of an administrative assistant as both the conditions and the human variables involved are both unpredictable and subject to change.
These, then, are the major duties and responsibilities of the position, but there are many additional specific tasks and processes required to fulfill this role in a satisfactory manner.
Assists with, prepares, and distributes correspondence, reports, committee meeting information, curriculum documents, and grants.
Screens incoming correspondence and calls, handles routine matters, and refers others to appropriate staff members.
Assists with the district-wide Student Information System (SIS) by ensuring that it is kept current, creating standardized reports, and downloading/inputting district-level data (e.
g.
state-generated test results).
Interacts with district staff in the registration of new students.
Maintains a variety of records, including out-of-home district students, outplacement school, and parent notification.
Works closely with school administrators, family members, and students in compiling and processing information.
Registers new students, obtains transcripts and other documentation, and inputs confidential student data into the SIS.
Prepares statistical reports of some complexity, requiring advanced knowledge of Excel functionality.
Assists in the automation of district-level procedures and processes through such activities as the creation of templates and distribution of electronic information.
Provides back-up support to other Central Office classified staff including assistance with computer software and hardware, as deemed necessary by the Assistant Superintendent.
Maintain and updates curriculum unit documents via google docs.
Ensures continued relevancy and accuracy of information posted to the curriculum website.
Processes purchase orders for Curriculum and Instruction and serves as primary contact for curriculum vendors.
Processes annual grant narratives and required reporting for all federal Title grants.
Assists with other grant writing as directed.
Supports the annual budget process for Curriculum and Instruction.
Services as primary contact for and maintains the school closure procedures.
Supports and services as a backup for Superintendent's office.
Performs other duties as required by the Assistant Superintendent.
